I believe that books are gateways to excitement, learning, and endless adventures. I love helping students explore captivating stories that will not only hook them on reading but also inspire them to discover new worlds and ideas.

Before I became the librarian, I taught kindergarten for 7 years in Carl Junction.  Elsewhere, I taught preschool for 3 years, and high school English for 2 years.  Ultimately, all roads were leading to what has become my dream job in the library.  

My husband, Mr. Read is the junior high librarian.  We have a daughter in college and our son attends Carl Junction.
